FIR heat provides all the health benefits of natural sunlight without harmful side effects of solar radiation, such as ultraviolet rays associated with suntans and skin cancer.
Far-Infrared heat is a form of naturally occurring energy that directly heats objects by gentle infrared radiation heat, rather than by raising the temperature of the surrounding air. FIR heat is completely safe for the human body. Physical therapists often use FIR heat to promote healing and hospitals use the same heat in incubators to keep premature babies warm.
The FIR waves are tuned to provide high absorption by the human body (as much as 93%) and deep penetration through the skin. An infrared sauna can produce 200-300% more perspiration than conventional saunas, which heat the body indirectly through the process of sitting in over-heated air.
Infrared saunas operate at lower temperatures than conventional saunas. Because you are not experiencing the discomfort to your lungs of breathing very hot air, most people are able to tolerate longer sessions than in a traditional sauna, promoting more sweat, and increasing the health benefits.
